It is my pleasure to invite your student to participate in band at Carusi! Our band program is one of the largest and most successful groups in Cherry Hill and is regarded as one of the stronger programs in the region. This past year our band was one of just several schools awarded a rating of “Superior” (highest rating that can be achieved) at the New Jersey Music Educators Association Band Competition!
Our success has been achieved by creating a strong, friendly environment in the band room while also pushing the kids hard to reach their potential. We do this in a safe and friendly setting that makes it okay for them to make mistakes as they progress. Band students experience many “highs and lows” through-out their years of playing but by 8th grade most band students list band as their favorite class. Students love coming to band because we keep things as fun with them as we are serious in helping them be successful. Band is much more than a class to play an instrument. It is the development of a family of friends that lasts a lifetime and establishment of some rather profound physical and mental influences.
