​ALL SOUTH JERSEY BAND

​The All South Jersey Band is selected through auditions held each January. Over 400 students audition from the south jersey region and approximately half are selected. Students always grow from the experience win, loose or draw and always come back more mature musicians and students! This year’s audition is scheduled for SATURDAY, JANUARY 29 at Southern Regional Middle School in Manahawkin, NJ. Students are required to provide their own transportation to this audition.

The audition consists of three parts…
1. Scales: Major scales up to four sharps and flats plus the chromatic scale (10 scales). 
2. Solo: Prepared piece (please click HERE for this year's required solo, scales and other worksheets).
3. Sight-reading: The student must play a short piece never seen before. 

Students selected for the band are required to attend 5 afternoon (4pm-7pm) rehearsals as well as the concert. Students who miss a rehearsal for any reason are not permitted to participate.
